Tridacna are the calcium carbonate shells of giant clams native to Indo-Pacific coral reefs. Known for their dense, non-nacreous structure and silky white sheen, they are valued in both decorative and metaphysical contexts. The material is organic, relatively soft (Mohs 3–4), and often associated with serenity, purity, and spiritual grounding.
