GREEN MOONSTONE
Green Moonstone is a member of the feldspar group, composed primarily of potassium aluminum silicate. Its signature glow — known as adularescence — is caused by light scattering between microscopic layers within the crystal structure, giving it a soft, pearly sheen. Green varieties range from pale mint to silvery olive and often show zones of clarity, flash, or soft chatoyancy depending on cut and polish. Found in metamorphic rocks, it typically forms alongside orthoclase, albite, and sometimes quartz. Metaphysically, Green Moonstone is believed to enhance emotional balance, intuition, and connection to the heart’s wisdom.
