Cinnabar is known for its rich, earthy brick red tones. Historically used as a pigment and for decorative objects and jewellery, Cinnabar is actually a Mercury Sulfide and toxic. Typically then, these, like most modern Cinnabar, is synthetic and/or lacquered, and have been coated with Aura coating - the result of a high temperature heat process, where Cinnabar is coated with a blend of metals such as Platinum, Gold, and Silver to achieve a metallic lustre.
