Sunset Fluorite is a vibrant variety of Fluorite (CaF₂) known for its layered bands of golden yellow, orange, violet and clear zones, often resembling the colours of a dusk sky. This calcium fluoride mineral crystallises in the isometric system and commonly forms in hydrothermal environments alongside minerals such as Quartz and Calcite. Its warm tones are created by natural colour‑centre shifts and trace element variations within the crystal lattice, and some specimens may show blue fluorescence under UV light.
