This Dracula-Red Quartz is an enhanced variation of Quartz, its color and clarity the result of heat treatment on natural quartz and is often further enhanced by the infusion of other minerals or dyes to create various colours. This variety of Dracula Quartz is made by heat-treating clear quartz to open microfractures, then infusing red dye for a vivid, glasslike scarlet tone. The enhancement is permanent and stable.
