This Galaxy Obsidian Money Toad has been carved from natural volcanic glass showing its signature star‑like speckles and swirling night‑sky patterns. Galaxy Obsidian is formed when tiny mineral inclusions are suspended within dark obsidian, creating a soft, cosmic shimmer across the surface. It is believed to offer grounding, protection, and clarity, helping to clear mental noise while strengthening focus and intention. The Money Toad, or Jin Chan, is traditionally associated with wealth, prosperity, and good fortune, said to attract opportunity while guarding against financial missteps. Together, this pairing creates a protective, steadying prosperity talisman with a deep, anchoring presence. You will receive the exact carving shown.

  • GALAXY OBSIDIAN
Obsidian is formed when lava is cooled quickly - and is a type of volcanic glass.  Known for its powerful energies for protection, grounding and spiritual communication, it is also believed to be a strong cleanser of all negativity.  Galaxy Obsidian is a rare variety of Obsidian that features unique patterns resembling galaxies or starry skies. These patterns are created by the presence of tiny gas bubbles or mineral inclusions that form during the cooling of the volcanic glass.  Galaxy Obsidian is thought to enhance intuition and insight, psychic ability and spiritual insight.

    MONEY TOAD
The "Money Toad," also known as the Jin Chan or Chan Chu, is believed to attract wealth and prosperity.  Typically depicted as a three-legged toad with red eyes, flared nostrils, and a coin in its mouth, it often sits on a pile of traditional Chinese cash. The Toad's three legs represent it's connection to the moon, while the coin symbolizes wealth. This carving shows the traditional Money Toad seated on a coin, a posture associated with secured, anchored prosperity. When the Jin Chan sits on the coin, it symbolises wealth that is already stabilised and protected — ideal for long‑term abundance, financial grounding, and safeguarding resources. Some keepers choose to place a small coin in the toad’s mouth. An open‑mouth Jin Chan with a coin is linked to active wealth attraction, drawing new opportunities, income flow, and fresh financial luck toward the owner. Without a coin, the open mouth represents ongoing opportunity and the ability to “receive,” while the seated coin beneath the toad anchors what has already been gained. Both variations are considered auspicious — the seated coin offers stability, while the optional mouth coin enhances active attraction. You can choose the meaning that resonates most with your intention.
