Calcite is a carbonate mineral that is transparent to opaque and may occasionally show phosphorescence or fluorescence. Blue Calcite is a fairly rare variety of Calcite, found only in Mexico and South Africa. Blue Calcite is believed to be a calming, soothing energy, thought to protect and calm, neutralising negative energy and anxiety. Also associated with the throat chakra, Blue Calcite is thought to help with clarity, communication and creativity.
